A Diamond Intelligence Briefs (DIB) investigation has revealed that a vendor on the leading online global wholesale platform, Alibaba, has offered CVD lab-grown diamonds with GIA certificates.

A record-breaking 404 carat diamond has been recovered from the Lulo Diamond Project in Angola’s Lunda Norte province. This diamond is the largest recorded diamond fine in Angola, one of the world’s top four diamond producing nations, and considered to be the 27th biggest recorded diamond discovery in the world.

The International Grown Diamond Association (IGDA) has been launched by over 10 grown diamond producers, distributors and retailers with the aim of representing the grown diamond industry, promoting grown diamonds and educating about various unique qualities and applications of grown diamonds.
